These thin diamond saw blades have diamond grit pressed into the edge of a solid steel core(diamond cold press), this is designed to keep waste to a minimum when cutting precious materials like turquoise, emerald, ruby and glass, the depth of the notches is 2mm. These saw blades are steel core.
