This type of vertical flat lapping machine was designed for shaping and polishing gemstone and glass vertically, mostly for regular shape like rectangle, square stone.
Work with a stone clamp, put the stone in the clamp, and move to diamond disc with the clamp, not manully, much safer.
Used with 12''x1/2''(300x12.7 mm) diamond laps, you can choose from different grit #60/80/100/120/150/180/240/320/400/500/600/800/1000/1200/1500/1800/2000/2500/3000
